Mrs. Báthori Gém Erzsébet started to work as a chemist but due to her illness, she had to quit her profession. These were the times when she first got involved in embroidery. Her mother, the deceased Mrs. Gém Rudolf, taught her the bases of embroidery, but she also learned a lot of Mrs. Lyachovics József and Bagdi Lajos.

Mrs. Báthori Gém Erzsébet fell in love with handiwork and to educate herself on the topic, she enrolled an embroidery group. She and her fellows won a loom at an application. Since none of the members knew how to operate it, Mrs. Báthori Gém Erzsébet enrolled a workshop which were followed four others in the following ten years. She thinks of the applied artist Mrs. Tóth and the master of folk art Mrs. Papp as her masters
She became member of the Kölcsey Weaving Workshop often acclaimed where she learned all techniques concerning the weaving of wool. The present exhibition shows a few of these. She did field trips to Upper Hungary several times. The exhibition also shows objects she took from the Zobor Region. She uses hemp and flax as raw material. She also applies the natural color of these such as the grey, brown, drape, and blue.
The textiles Mrs. Báthori Gém Erzsébet makes are accompanied with the works of the applied artist Szabó józsef.
