Faces well-known from pages of textbooks, we have seen them countless times: great figures and our role models - literary and historical canon portrait gallery. Cultural Heritage's Hall of Fame, where the characters' identity appears, especially remote and inaccessible. After the re-creation of static images are we to learn something more about these icons?

The exhibition entitled 'Ardents' </em> is questioning the availability of identity and takes the perspective of several decades or centuries to face the well-known faces, glancing into their eyes to find personal answers to compel visitors.

The question is what these mask-like portraits tell us.

A face, a portrait has a number of information. The eye is the mirror of the soul, they say. It is not just momentary emotional state of the people, but his or her entire history may be shown in his or her eyes, and therefore on the face. According to psychology emotions and facial expressions have connection that can be encrypted, so anyone can read the codes, having some knowledge of it off course, of the other's face. But is it true that everything is written on the face? And it is important who or what is watching the faces? After all, the psychologist, the man sitting opposite on the subway will see something completely and security cameras, face recognition algorithm will again develop a very different data set.

In works of János Brückner identities that have became commonplace now in a clean environment will gain a new form and meaning. The works thus made are portraits of great figures of Hungarian literature, great role models we have known the faces of ever since school. Now, thanks to the exhibition, they are portrayed differently, confirming the quality vates personalities, contemporary or even extraordinary 'trend-sensitive "nature.
