Attila Dienes is one of the most talented young sculptor from Transylvania. He was among the founders of the MAMÜ, and the Apolló Youth Circle. The influence of idols in the Neolithic is just as present in his art as folk art, floral ornaments or even anthropomorphic motifs.
Attila Diénes: Love Flower
There are times when he is influenced by Egyptian portrait art, then Greek forms, then he falls in love with drapery of the Baroque. He is just as influenced by dynamic compositions anchored in constructive elements striving to dynamism. These are his rethinking of his early metaphysical experiments in painting. His works of art show that he executes his experiments in his own world of forms.

He is a polyhistor, is a tricky craftsman, and an inventive jack-of-all-trades. Furthermore, his ability to abstract incites him to create forms in mathematical space. Other times, he makes interiors, uniform furniture and armchair collections. The items he did in various periods of his career are representative works of art of a really exciting career. His public statues also tell of his talent.

The large textile compositions made with "haut lisse" techhnology during the early years of his career, in the 1970-80s prove what it is for him to transcend from two to three dimension.

Many of his works of art are only represented by photos. Attila Dienes has lived in Magyarpolány for two decades. The representative exhibition is to pay a due respect to the artist.
