The work of Sándor Farsang
Farsang Sándor moved to Győr in 1976. He founded and is now the president of the Graphics Studio, he was founding member of the Kovács Margit School of Fine Arts and the Dance and Fine Arts School of Győr. He has been the leader of the Fine Arts Circle of Győr for 30 years.

Besides teaching, he loves to paint and do graphics. He regularly participates at national and international exhibitions. He held independent exhibitions in Hamburg, Munich, Athens, Milan. Many of his works are in private collections. He received many prizes and awards. Now he works on his oeuvre exhibition. (Atelier May, 2005.)

’Farsang Sándor has worked on his characteristic language, his unique postmodern world often reminding the viewer of graffiti and comic strips for many years.

He met pop-art at collage in the 60's. He soon overcame the fashionable abstract expressionism and became involved in surnaturalism and figuralism.

According to his works, the most important influences of his life occurred at the location of his youth: the border of St. Stephen Park and Angyalföld in Budapest. These locations also recorded in photos and the memories linked to them are inexhaustible sources of his works.' (ÉS Pápai Emese)

The Arts Museum of the Town salutes the artist who is 60 years old this year. The drawing exhibition of Farsang Sándor opens in the framework of the 8th International Biennial of Győr.
