The Club of Iron and Metal Workers was founded in 1911. It found its home in Angyalföld in 1930 on the legendary Tarnai Meadow now called Illovszky Rudolf Place. The six-time Hungarian champion and four-time cup winner club gave 80 players to the national team. Five of the players became Olympic champions. The club also finished the championship second twice and third thirteen times.
