Our new temporary exhibition presents the history of the legendary Football Club Vasas.
The flag of the Vasas Football Club
The Club of Iron and Metal Workers was founded in 1911. It found its home in Angyalföld in 1930 on the legendary Tarnai Meadow now called Illovszky Rudolf Place. The six-time Hungarian champion and four-time cup winner club gave 80 players to the national team. Five of the players became Olympic champions. The club also finished the championship second twice and third thirteen times.

Players like Plattkó Ferenc, Takács II József, Illovszky Rudolf, Szilágyi I Gyula, Ihász Kálmán, Farkas János, Mészöly Kálmán és Váradi Béla wore the black and blue jersey. The club won the Middle Europe Cup seven times, through the uncountable games their names is known worldwide.

The history of the club is remembered through interviews with ex-football players. We also display cups, trophies and several personal objects of the players such as the silver shoes of Váradi Béla and Ihász Kálmán.
