He is member of the Széchenyi Literal and Art Academy, received the Munkácsy and the Kossuth Prize, internationally known textile artist, and one of the founders of the 'Verőce Studio Association'.
Ritta Hager: Hope 1998-2000, goblin with mixed painting, 75X75 cm, privately owned
Decades ago he chose Verőce as his second home. His art can be described as spiritual, sacred, solemn and as dramatic compositions. He often uses varied techniques in one work. With the tools of gobelin, weaving, tying, he steps out of the woven plane. His experiments led to new reading of the wallpapers.

He took a major role in the renewal of the Hungarian textile art from the 1970's. Many of his works are in public collections and buildings all over the world. The exhibitions have the power of revelations.
