The Foundation for the Heroes of '48 and the Katona József Museum are to hold a drawing competition for the fifth time, "Long live the Hungarian Freedom". The drawings, this time are selected by children 3-14 years of age.

Year after year, more and more schools and kindergartens join the programs, and prepare children to send in their work. This year, 14 schools and 17 kindergartens, including four institutions (!) from Upper Hungary with 506 children participating were listed among the contesters. The technique was not determined by the announcers, so a diverse range of works got awarded.
Some of the candidates have sent in their works in former years as well. Several classes chose to cooperate and join forces when creating their work of art.
In addition to creations by children, this glorious era of Hungarian history, events of the Revolution and Fight for Independence are reviewed by various works of art.
Participation in museum educational activities require appointment.
Visiting the exhibition is free of charge from schools located in Kecskemét.
