Thousand of photographies, drawings, printmakings, Japanese prints and pattern books, dirty, torn, peeling posters, were found hidden at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts library and archives, from cabinet tops.

The smallest even in its ruins let us guess its former beauty. Finding out their origins the scientific processing of posters were undertaken by two art historians at the Hungarian National Gallery: Katalin Bakos and Eszter Földi. Their result of their work is the that by today the collection of lithographs and by masters who worked at the end of the 19th, the beginning of the 20th century Art Nouveau posters has been nicely prepared and is at the disposal of visitors'.

This remarkable collection is hosted by the beautiful Rómer Flóris Art and History Museum, where in addition to the the collection of posters a catalogue that was financed by the French Institute of Budapest is also available.
