The life-work of Béla Hamvas was significantly determined by the years he spent in Szentendre. Most of his intellectual heritage is taken care of by the town of Szentendre, especially through the work of Antal Dúl and Mária Marghescu.

Our exhibition intends to provide the visitors with a review of the still valid ideas of Béla Hamvas, hoping that the man who was ingored in his life will find its deserving place in history.

The Szentendre Art Gallery present the material in three rooms, inviting the visitors to have a look inside the secrets of Hamvas' oeuvre. We offer interactive programmes, documentaries and a theatre adaptation also.

The exhibition offers a comprehensive picture on the most important ideas of Hamvas, the crossroads of hid life through his personal belongings and documents on him.

We hope that the visitors will feel enriched by spiritual experiences.

Hopefully, the exhibition will travel on to Eger and then to Balatonfüred.
