The centenary of the birth of Endre Rozsda is celebrated by the Hungarian National Gallery, the Paris based Endr Rozsda Circle of Friends and the French Institute by an exhibition to be held in Budapest. The exhibition is under the patronage of the Hungarian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Communications and Human Resources.
About one hundred paintings, graphics and photo are exhibited, according to the chronology of the oeuvre. Through the selection, the oeuvre of the painter is reviewed from his naturalist works to the abstract ones with all the special symbols Rozsda used,
the visual language he used. In Rozsda's painting and graphics, we feel the presence of an artist who is able to express everything with lines and colors, and whose every gesture drawn with pencil and brush carry meaning.
