The xhibition presenting works shown by Marc Chagall and Imre Ámos ar on display at the Hungarian National Gallery from 12 September, 2013 Marc Chagall and Imre Ámos are two artists whose oeuvre was immensely influenced by their fate, religion, Jewish identity. Chagall the master , surviving everything and everyone, Ámos is the young boy who died as a martyr . Both the artists' art is authentic, rooted deep in Eastern European history and traditions, and it is no less true for their fate as as well. The emigrant Russian artist and Hungarian Jewish martyr. Their fate and the art is common despite the fact that they only met once in Paris, on 4 October, 1937 for a few prolifically spent hours.
