András Böröcz graduated as a painter from the academy; but it was Miklós Erdély who really influenced the beginning of his career. In the period from 1977 to 1991 he did performances with László Révész. He is famous for his spirited, elaborated statues: he makes statues of eggs, corks, but the most well-known of them are from pencils. He moved to live in the USA in 1986.
