In 2005 some pioneer's objects were given to our museum. The former owner was a leader of pioneers in Tiszafüred before the political system changes, in the 1970's and in the 1980's. We show two pioneer shirts and two pioneer whistles, a pioneer belt, some red, triangle shaped pioneer scarves and some other documents (e. g. membership cards, medals).

One of the shirts is the part of the holiday wear: it is white. The other one is for everyday wear: it is drab. On the front of the shirt there are two pockets and on the shoulders there are shoulder marks. The bottoms of the shirts are a little bit darken the the colour of the shirt and on the surface of the buttom there is the printed form of pioneer’s emblem. The pioneer whistle is fixed to the right shoulder mark by a braid and the whistle is put in the right front pocket. The triangle shaped red pioneer scarf is the most important part of the wear. The uniform of the pioneers was srtickly regulated from 1946 till 1989.
The movement of pioneers was the only organization in the elementary schools in Hungary during communist times. Most of the pupils had to be a member of pioneer's organization led by grown-ups mostly by teachers of elementary schools. The younger pupils (aged 8-10) were called as "small-drummers" ("kisdobos"), the older pupils (aged 11-14) were called as "pioneers" ("úttörő").
