The exhibition guides the visitors through from the beginnings of cartography to maps made in the 20th century. Remarkable maps were discovered in archives and libraries during the research work. A clerical property map from the 18th century is worth noticing. It shows one of the vineyards owned by the clergy in the Buda Hills. Other maps of special interest are the Ottoman siege maps, among those one shows the fortresses on Sváb Hill from where the Ottomans were cannoned.
