Both fine artists of Mesterszállás graduated in Kunszentmárton. Molnár Erica received her diploma from the picture graphics department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts while Molnár Margit gradueted from the sculptor department of the same university in the past few years.
The allegoric figures appearing on the lithographies of Molnár Erika are not the immediate illustrations of a mythological topic but are the symbols of inner meanings, emotions and moods. The metaphoric world of forms refers to the forming of thoughts and the sensual relations of material and spiritual world. The ideas appear in crystal-like forms so that the spatial cut out flat-like forms are mixed. This language shows the smooth, organic, bending, crystal, geometric, flat-like, light, spatial and floating existence of things in one. The compositions create stability among these seemingly things of different values. This way all light and shadow, line and patch, color and form, flat and spatial relation may have manifold meanings.
The spatial compositions of Molnár Margit are made up of complex forms. They affect the viewer with the self-confident treatment of material. In the open interiors the artist connects the atmosphere of her own studio with the study of the oeuvre of Stróbl Alajos, one of the most important sculptor of the 20th century in Hungary. The result of counterpoint in space is that the richness of form and logical relation system only shows when the viewer changes position. The sense of character and safety of form present on circle forms comes from the mood to experiment.
