I have always been a man who liked to drill and carve. I met wood around the middle of the 70's. I began to deal with the design of outdoor toys and plastic works with quality artists leading me. I also did furniture, wooden headboard etc.
A taste of the exhibition
After experimenting for some time, I arrived at the relief intarsia three years ago. The novel appearance, the wide ranges of form and teh beauty of technique made me enthusiastic. This time I show these works.

The caricature-like, the extremely simple forms, the cubist style and my using of geometric forms is not my disrespect towards the topic. H intentions of the people of our times have to be caught through simple things. I found the exaggerations of grotesque to do so. Caricature transmits emotions, personalities, situations and humor. It makes us smile without hurting us.

I formed my figures as analogous to contemporary pictures and works. The age of the Original Settlement was always close to me. The topic, however, appeared by accident. I was walking in the street when I spotted a real idiot reindeer on the t-shirt of a girl. I began to draw a deer first myself, later silly things. This is how the first Hun was born.

When the possibilities of relief intarsia came to surface, I found it appealing, since the white of the bone and the yellow etc. colors of the wood seemed apt to show our ancestors. I got hooked on it and I began a series showing the tools of the original settlers. My aim was to show the life of our ancestors, myths and stories, possible credibly using the result of scientific researches. Learn of the roots in the spirit of the professor László Gyula and create works that make the audience enjoy my works.
