A porcelain painter with his or her artistic means conjures with the chosen means natural beauty and diversity on the material, the porcelain. That is, not just the same as the existing reality, but in thousands of shapes and forms like the words of truth, the essence of life.

The museologist-researcher wants to explore as much factual knowledge about natural environment as possible: therefore they monitor, capture, analyse, then document the results to the public.

In our exhibition these two different perspectives complement each other by representing life in the most possible diversity, the more enjoyable and better methods.

Entering the doors to the exhibition, two exceptional, breathtaking creations of porcelain art welcome the visitors that with their fascinating theme and dimensions, detailed elaboration of events at a lakeside sometime in spring are enthralling. In the background of the two masterpieces we find Nature itself, a vibrant wetland with bird life is conjured up in a short film etude.

By scientific depictions, porcelains and natural objects, the visitors get t know about flora, birds and insects in Hungary, exotic landscapes and wildlife and also mystical, imaginary creatures that have never existed. As the artist and the scientist see it.

Walking on, we may learn about the history of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory, showing most characteristic samples, the process of porcelain production and a real painting workshop.

In the last unit we may follow the "evolution" of the most famous Victorian Pattern. An unusual biological concept for porcelain. Still, if we look at the items on the laid table changes in the Victorian pattern can be traced through times, how it renewed despite changes in trends and tastes.
