The exhibition follows the history of 20th and 21st century church architecture in Győr-Moson-Sopron County. We deal with almost all of the established churches within the county borders, not only the well-known buildings. However, the exhibition goes beyond the boundaries of the region; in the light of European developments forty five edifices are reviewed through which Hungarian life also unfold.

The photo presentation is accompanied by sketches and descriptions. An important aspect is the development liturgy as function as well as its role in varios time period. we show three original designs from the period immediately preceding World War II. We have two interviews in one of which an architect (Tamás Czigány ) and a theologian(JákóFehérváry ) talk. The buildings in use is dealt with a short film. With recent works, we can read the personal thoughts.of the architects as well.

The exhibition aims to provide possible interpretations to rural and the urban environment, individual congregations and communities in different conditions by reviewing different denominations used contributing to the interpretation of church architecture through multiple examples.

The basic function of professional bodies is advocacy, also to maintain relationship between members and the outside world, whether legislative or user.

The Chamber of Architects aims to do more, because it assumes the task to represent architectural quality and present environmental values.

To believe in something, believe in a higher being, believe in the elusive is people's deepest, highest concern.

The most noble task of an architect is to serve this process, to create the space where people have the opportunity to experience this miracle. However, the community that build a church, does the largest, most effort claiming deed for itself.

This is what the churches are about, this is why the biggest challenge for an architect is the design of a church.
This task is far beyond designing a building , because the outcome is much more than a building.
With the present an exhibition, the of Győr-Moson-Sopron County Architect Body aims to present this miracle, how architects of recent times were able to create sacred spaces where people can meet with the what and whom he or she believes in.

The exhibition was funded by the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Architect Body and the city of Győr .
