In the fall of 2013, Gergely Lantai-Csont, a young Hungarian photographer, was planning an about four-month expedition to East Africa supported by the the African Association of Hungary. The main goal of the photographer who won the magazine National Geographic Traveller's prestigious award in 2013 was to visits and photo document communities from Egypt to eastern Congo on a professional level.

The primary objective of the exhibition is to show the rich culture and cultural heritage of Sudan. The secondary objective is to deal with the southernmost known Hungarian group, the Magyarab people.
