In September, the Ice Age was welcomed to the Munkácsy Museum! Mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and woolly rhinos have taken over. Be not afraid though, they only moved in the museum for the salke of a large-scale archaeological science exhibition.

The exhibition ICE AGE – NOW! captivate visitors with unique visuals. Animals that are have been extinct for thousands of years in the Carpathian Basin come to life again in the, rugged, ice-age landscapes come to life in front of prying eyes.

Significant portion of the artifacts were borrowed from various national museums, scientific research institutions - including Budapest, Szeged, Pásztó, Szécsény, Tiszaföldvár alsofrom the Vienna Natural History Museum. Most of ther econstruction are real curiossity. Many of these pieces will be shown for the first time to the visitors, in fact, there are some that have never been to Hungary until now.

S long as the exhibition is open, interesting and lots surprises await both young and older peope alike.
