A summarizing exhibition is opening selecting from current and former teachers as well as students from the Open Art School of Mártély on 8 August on Friday at 17.00 am in the ground floor halls of the Tornyai János Museum. Those interested can look into the world of creative and initiative world of the artists of long history through about seventy works.

Shown in a separate room is the showing of the Hódmezővásárhely-born and artist also feeding on Mártély roots, Lajos Csáky, the painter and graphic artist. The title is 'Layers'. The body of the exhibition are the works by the current art teacher, Béla Bányai, Zoltán Mucsi and István Neuberger. Imre Nagy , the manager of Tornyai-Museum now hosting the exhibition says the exhibition reveals a significant development in the style of pictures made in Vásárhely. "Not only stylistic, but also changes in painting mode make up a significant advancement compared to the predecessors" - emphasized the art historian. The third hall hosts selected works of former teachers and current students from the School complemented by works of modern masters.
