The artist from Hódmezõvásárhely who is mostly renown of tombs he made presents twenty plastic works at the Tornyai Museum from August 10. Ferenc Kriván as born in 1889 in Hódmezõvásárhely. He went to trade school in Szeged, then studied with the sculptors Sándor Varga and János Pásztor. In addition, he did trips to Munich, Vienna, Paris. After his first show in 1912 he only had one individual and collective exhibition until his death in 1970. However, he was a huge success among professional audience especially those folk genre paintings, portraits that were influenced by Pásztor and Rubletzky.
