János Szénási was born 70 years ago, in 1944-ben in Hódmezővásárhely. In 1958 he started apprenticeship at the Majolica Factory then worked as at the pottery wheel until obtaining vocational certificate. From 1968 he was supervisor at the Alföld Porcelain Factory, then foreman. He and his wife, Erzsébet Tóth moved to the home in Eke Street in 1971 where he set up his own studio. His creativity was not satisfied by factory work is not so he left his job in 1980 and began a new career.
