In the show the silent lambs are set to 'talk' through objects from more than 30 collections of about a dozen European museums. One can hardly list the innumerable aspects sheep are associated with. The lamb motif can be spotted in armours of towns and cities, in ecclesiastical symbols, or in clothing, not to mention the kitchen where lamb is indispensable. The exhibition is housed in the 450 square metre Granary, where the lamb motif is explored along 10 themes spiced up with unique objects. In addition, the show also boasts an artefact - a statuette of lamb - from as early as the Copper Age, since more than 5000 years are embraced in the show. The complexity of shepherd life is illustrated with a French shepherd walking on wooden longlegs, who among many other things had even time for knitting! In addition, new light is shed on contemporary art by exhibiting a work of art made of integrated electric circuits, titled 'The lamb with glory'.
