András Bohár was an aesthetician, philosopher, visual artist who coped with the problems of open culture: he tried to harmonize Heidegger's ontology, Gadamer's hermeneutics and the discourse-ethic of Habermas. He was an emblematic figure of the Hungarian actual avant-garde.
