Gyula Balogh Born in Budapest in 1950, presenly lives at Monor. Student of the Hungarian Art School between 1971-75, where his tutor was Simon Sarkantyú. As a founder-nember of the newly organized Colony of painters at Gyula, he has initiated the sociographic realism in Hungary. The common aim of the colony is to give a true sociographic picture of this small town (Gyula), on the Hungarian Puszta.
