The Hamza Collection and the Jász Gallery announced the traditional illustration application for children aged 14-18 on the National Day of Poetry. In the past years, many secondary school students were involved in the work. Many of the noteworthy artworks were shown at former exhibitions.

The topic of the application this year is the illustration of Hungarian folk songs.
The Ministry of National Cultural Heritage declared the year 2007 Kodály Memorial Year honoring the 125th anniversary of the birth of Kodály Zoltán. Celebrations held nationwide in which our museum also participates. We wish to remember the outstanding figure of Hungarian music with the application.
We hope to incite secondary school students to tell their thoughts on the topic via visual language, as well as interpret the given artworks. In other words, to try express their feelings evoked by the folk songs, folk poetry with the tools of fine art.
Furthermore, the objective of the application is to show the art of the secondary school generation at the exhibition for which the material is chosen by a jury.
