Pogány Gábor Benő was born in 1962 in Szolnok. He studied at the Collage of Fine Arts from 1982 to 1987. He did field trips to Scotland, Italy, Switzerland and Romania.
He has shown his works regularly at exhibitions since 1987. Several of his statues are erected in public places in Scotland, Szolnok and other places. /Szolnok: Szigligeti Ede memorial (1995), Hasznos István memorial (1999), Szolnok István memorial (2001), in Koltó: from the end of September Petőfi memorial (1998), Veszprém: WW II. memorial (1997), Bakonyszentkirály: Saint Stephen offers the country Maria (2001), Lajosmizse: Tree of Life (2002)./
He also makes coins and statuettes.
He also participates at International Artist Colonies.
