Éva Kárpáti
2006.06.21. - 2006.12.31.
At the beginning of her career she mainly painted still-lives in the naturalist style, later she was influenced by Surrealism. From the beginning of the 80's it became obvious to her which way to choose. It was her own way where in the center there was always men, faces and eyes. She began her portrait series of writers, composers and artists. She was also interested in female nudes. The works of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schide influenced her. In portrait painting she took Gyémánt Lászlót for her master. She also learned a lot from the pictures of Ivon Albright. She believes that the most important element in her works are the complete meditative experience of a situation to influence the topic. For her this is the only way to reach her aim in art. continue
