The graphic artist Marcali Kiss József was born in Marcal in 1936 and died in Érd in 1999. He worked in Keszthely for long and was the private student of Mikus Gyula during 1958-68. In 1966, the town of Érd awarded him with the Oeuvre Prize.
A taste of the exhibition
His art can be separated into two: graphics and oli paintings with their lyric visions and topics of the Lake Balaton. Marcali Kiss Melitta was born in 1966 in Keszthely. She studied in Budapest and Szeged. She is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Artists. She was only 7 when she made her first lino engraving.

Marcali Kiss Melitta soon became a conscious artist in her father's studio; she was born into the art world. Her inner rigor, the main proof of her intellect, discipled her to work. Marcali Kiss Melitta is a meditating type. She is not only affected by the beauty of the land but also listens to her inner voice and prays for all of us with her paintbrush.
