Vetro András was born on 14, October 1948 in Temesvár. He graduated at the Sculptor Department of the Collage of Fine Arts Institute of Kolozsvár in 1973. His teachers were the sculptor Egon Löwith, the philosopher György Bretter, the aesthete László Földesi and his father Vetro Artur from whom he received his talent and professional knowledge. In 1973, he was appointed to Kézdivásárhely where he taught modeling, drawing and history of art in the Nagy Mózes Lyceum.
