Fine artist Papp György was born in Békéscsaba on 27th July 1936. He graduated from the Szeged Pedagogy Academy in 1958, and from the Hungarian Fine Art Academy in 1972. He teaches at the Drawing and fine art department of the Juhász Gyula Teachers Training College. He is also president of the Art Institute. He is a member of the National Union of the Hungarian Artists, the Fine and Applied Artists Union and the Hungarian Graphic Artist Society. He studied in several countries in Europe and visited Africa and Asia as well.
