The exhibition invites visitors to a five-thousands-year time travel. They may learn about the predecessor of ice cream and also with the first customers who tasted it. Our journey begins in ancient China. The cold sweet reached the Mediterranean coastal countries through the mediation of the Persians and the Arabs. The Greeks consumed ie cream as a medicine on the advice of Hippocrates. Alexander the Great offered it by way of stimulant to his officers before battles. It was also a favourite delicacy at the lavish banquets of the Roman Emperors In the Middle Ages it was a speciality of royal courts.
