Order establisher Clara, Chiara di Favarone died 750 years ago (1193-1253) in the St. Damján monastery, Assisi. Two years after her death she was ordained a saint. Since 1953 St Clara has been honored as the protector saint of television, thus remembering the miracle at Christmas eve when she saw from her bed the Christmas mass celebrated in the church.
