With the latest exhibition in its modernist oeuvre series, KOGART presents the lifework of Lajos Tihanyi, one of the most significant Hungarian painters of all times - making this the first occasion in four decades when the entire body of work has been available for public viewing. Featuring about 90 paintings, 40 graphic works, a sculpture, original photos and documents, archival material and a silent film with the artist, the exhibit promises to be a highly enjoyable presentation of the man and his work. Selected from the treasures of Hungarian museums, and private collections in the country and abroad, the display seeks to effect a rediscovery of one of our greatest painters.
