The objective of the exhibition is to remember the influence of the royal couple on humanity. The Saint Michael Cathedral in Veszprém was established by the wife of the Stephen I of Hungary, Giselle of Bavaria. This is why it was always the Queen of Hungary who ruled the Cathedral in Veszprém. In the middle ages, the throne was located in the sanctuary of the cathedral. The Queen provided for the furnishing of the cathedral and the welfare of the church through their donations.

From the 14th century, the chancellors for the Queen of Hungary were chosen from bishops in Veszprém. It was mostly them who crowned the queen, in the middle ages in Székesfehérvár, in the Habsburg era in Pozsony.
The exhibition is t reflect on this relationship between our town and the prevailing queen of Hungary, via copies, e.g the crown, the regalia mantle from the 17th century held by the Pannonhalma Abbey.
We also show the letter of foundation of the Monastery in Veszprémvölgy.
