The exhibition presents the process of the peasantry turning into middle class in the 18-19th century via various objects and photos. Application of steam significantly determined technology-related development in Europe.

Through operable steam-machine scale models, the visitors at the Museum of Transportation will learn about the period contemporary innovations, they can gain information on the significance of steam application in factories, mining, transport and also water management.

The organizers set up texts for students of primary- and secondary schools to read that they can utilize at their science studies, while models and drawings demonstrate the use of steam.

The first steam-cars, steam-engines and locomotives, as well as steam ships are highlighted at the Duna Museum. The scale model of the 'Franz I' made by the First Imperial and Royal Danube Steam Ship Company' is also on display. Steam was also utilized in flood and inland water protection. In one of the rooms, the visitors can discover how a steam powered pump plant used to work, by way of photos, films and 3D animations.
