The Association of Artists from Somogy County is an organization formed in 1996. It embraces applied- and visual arts from Somogy County. Members of the association live in Somogy County, or are closely related to the county. They are all nationally acclaimed artists. The goal of the association is to represent art scene in Somogy County by way of exhibitions.

The Association of Artists from Somogy County is the only association involved in art in Kaposvár and Somogy County that consciously focuses on geographic relations of the artists.

The association mostly provides professional and moral representation for its members. We highlight support of value-forming creative art and furthering the career of young artists at the beginning of their career.

The history of the Somogy County Applied- and Visual Art Exhibition goes back several years. In the spring of 2010 members of the association decided to organize an exhibition after a five-year break, showing works of art by Somogy County related artists,

A sad actuality of the exhibition is that the textile designer Patrícia Baktay passed away in November 2010. We honour her memory with the exhibition presented by the Association of Artists from Somogy County.
