Taksony is one of the oldest villages in Pest County. This was the region where the prince of the Original Settlers set up his camp; later it was the chief prince Taksony. During the Turkish times who settled here. The village flourished but during the expedition to free Buda it was depopulated. At the beginning of the 1700's, settlers arrived in waves from the territory of the German-Roman Empire, most of them from Baden-Württemberg.
