"We are neat caricatures of the ideal picture of ourselves, with all the punch lines and jokes of our mistakes and weaknesses...in eternal suffering to cover them up. Our only chance to make a decent decision is self irony and humour…"
A taste of the exhibition
The Székelyudvarhely born Elemér Könczey lives in Cluj. He is a freelancer graphic artist; he illustrates book covers, makes posters and has his own column in the daily called "Krónika". He also teaches commercial graphics and editing at the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj.

Elemér Könczey has had solo exhibitions in Cluj, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Sfântu Gheorghe and the Spring Festival in Budapest. The museum goers can also see some of his works of art in Bistrita, Deva and Croatia. He attends the exhibition of the Caricature Faculty of the Hungarian Journalists’ Association every year.
