The Horus Archives is one of the greatest Hungarian private picture and photo compilation. The cinematographer Kardos Sándor began to collect photos thirty years ago. The collection grew so big that the number of photos in the Horus is now over one and a half million.
A taste of the exhibition
Anybody who begins to watch Horus pictures will soon meet him/herself in photos about which s/he feels that it is about her/him. Amateurs take millions of photos and many of them are excellent without anybody ever noticing it. 'God’s finger touched it' - as Kardos Sándor worded it. Sometimes the result is not exactly what the photographer intended to take.

The exhibition in the Saint Stephen King Museum shows 120-150 pictures of these.

A literary program accompanies the exhibition. We chose three photos and ask entrant and contemporary literary men and those from Székesfehérvár to write short stories to the pictures and later to read them during a literary evening.
