Mary Teresa arrived with her family to spend five days in Vác on 27, August, 1764. They were invited by the bishop of Vác: Kristóf Migazzi. The queen was escorted by her husband, I. Franz, Emperor of the German-Roman Empire, and her four children, Joseph, King of Rome, Prince Lipot, and the Princesses Anne and Kristina. The visit of the Royal family was always the honor of their host. Mary Teresa rarely spent a long time as a quest somewhere which made her arrival at Vác even more unique.
