The Ibero American Design Biennial is the most important contemporary Ibero American design meeting held every two years in Madrid.. It is the meeting point of design professionals, universities, companies and institutions from Latin-America, Spain, and Portugal, showcasing some 400 works from 22 countries during its last edition in 2014 – and covering all creative areas from fashion to graphic design, interiors and objects.

During the compilation, BID Advisory Board pays special attention to sustainability, innovation and social awareness by awarding the best projects selected by an international jury. The juxtaposition of mass-produced objects and utopian creations illustrates the important role design plays in shaping the 21st century in the region.

The travelling exhibition arriving in Budapest is to provide a cross-section with 60 works of art and 80 tableaus selecting from this huge material, paying special attention to the honorary guest of the Design Week: Spain.
