Those who are enthusiastic have a soul. A nice soul that inspires.
This is a story about an iron merchant whose honest and pure interest, his curious spirit made him a polymath. Our hero is the man with the precious name, the honoured Kálmán Darnay. The Sümeg-born self-taught archaeologist, researcher, curator, writer left an amazing collection behind for posterity.
The exhibition presents a selection of works of excellent taste as well as family photos of this modern-day polymath. In addition, his personal relics and writings testify to the adventurous journey of life, of sense of beauty and will to learn, and the resulting motivation, the crown of which was the foundation of the Sümeg Museum.
