The exhibition entitled The 'Elza Mágnás Mystery' is hosted by the Kiscelli Museum in Óbuda, in the former Schmidt Castle, exactly where the woman who turned from maiden to becoming the lover of a noble man was killed in 1914. The exhibition is expected to open in January.

The exhibition will show the scandal that was provoked by the violent death of lover of the furniture manufacturer , who had been just a 'little Slovak servant girl'. The writers Krúdy and Kosztolányi wrote about it, the newspaper Népszava calculated how many times a working woman's salary Miksa Schmidt, the "villainous exploitative" spent on his lover. He set up a chapel the home, this site will be partly the home to our exhibition, with some original, contemporary objects.

The case had a long aftermath. Cecile Tormay believed the killer sentenced to prison in 1919 to be one of the Lenin boys found know (by that time he had been in jail for long). Word had it, that after he came out of prison, the former comrade Marosán give a job to the former baker apprentice ...
