An exhibition opens at the Móra Ferenc Museum about the World War II bombing of Szeged by the Americans. During opening hours, every half hour air-raid alerts will go off. In addition our visitors will also find poignant photos and different documents. The exhibition also presents a piece of the bombed railway bridge and wreckages of a crashed American bomber.
Air-raid alert goes off every half hour at the new exhibition presented by the Móra Ferenc Museum. The visitors will learn about the events that took place before and during the air-raids in Szeged, as well as the destruction that they caused. The air-raid took place 70 years ago, in 1944. The bombings have caused huge losses in Szeged: the damage exceeded ten times the annual budget of the city.
A piece of the old rail from the railway bridge that was bombed will be also part of the exhibition. We also shows the destruction demonstrated by several artefacts. We illustrate the losses and also show a poignant photo series.
