The Royal Palace of Gödöllő Rudolf-wing hosts a display that invites the visitors to time travel, and those who enter here, will find themselves in a real special set This year we focus on the person of Francis Joseph. The key element is the process, how Franz Joseph's image has changed over the time in Hungary, how the emperor/king was considered during his long reign, and what role his beloved companion, Elizabeth played in it.

At least according to his diary we have today. This phase is shown the first room.

The king entered war with Serbia in illusioned, as the protector of his family and country, not knowing that his decision would launch an until then never experienced devastation. The items that symbolize the war therefore summon only the king with a fatherly attitude towards his people and his people , having the particular perspective of Franz Joseph in mind - we do not undertake.
