Fabrizio Plessi is one of the most popular contemporary Italian artists, whose name is known for his large-scale video installations around the world. His works combine modern technology of the moving image, the sound of the simplest materials, wood or stone with self-evident naturalism. His works are almost always use one of the four elements, sometimes even more. At the beginning of his career, the artist who moved from the province of Emilia at the age of 14 to Venice, was understandably preoccupied with water, then fire (lava ) also gained an important role in his art. Almost no one can shield him or herself from spectacular, sometimes huge impact of his works.
Our exhibition aims to present all major aspects of the world of Plessi so that Hungarian audience will understanding as much as possible of the art of the artist deputing in Hungary. A sensational feature of our exhibition is that we show one of his works that has not yet been shown before entitled Liquid Labyrinth. The installation called Llaut Light directs attention to a social issue of our times calls. In his second home, Majorca old fishing boats are being destroyed for environmental reasons. Issues of sustainable development and conflict of traditions are there at all walks of life. Plessi's work promote joint thinking and hopefully finding appropriate solutions.
