So far Robert Capa exhibitions tried to go around the issue: who was Robert Capa. This time we ask: what was Robert Capa? An emigrant who had nowhere to settlle. Photojournalist and war correspondent who wrote essays and shot films. A hero, of whom the best writers of his generation wrote with words of acknowledgement. Charmeur who loved women. A human being who had a passion for the game.
Fife of a man can never be replayed. Roles, constraints and opportunities shape the fragments into a whole, as part of a larger but never transparent interlace. How could we could see all the secrets or moment of a life? The exhibition Robert Capa / The Player < / em > tries to show a set of options and the context of an extraordinary life.
The 100th anniversary of the birth of the world -renowned photojournalist is problem-oriented and multi-layered. By presenting possible roles, offers historic answers to the question: What was Robert Capa. Photographs, projected images, documents, and interiors voie recordings help visitors find their way. The historic content is not separated from the sight. The Known Capa photos are reinterpreted by the creative, historical concept and challenges the viewer to see the meaning of a creative life, the meaning of the game, the boundaries between luck and the individual under a new light.
